T-Mobile’s Motorola Cliq MB200 is the social media enthusiasts dream. It takes droid phones to a whole new level with its 5 home screen options, full QWERTY keyboard, hi-res screen, MotoBlur functionality and many other fantastic options. It is a bit larger than other smartphones I have had in the past, but I have to think it needs to be this size to hold all its brains.

It is like a Social Media Mecca on my phone. MotoBlur allows me to sync all my social media in one place. It can be overwhelming and ALL your contacts will be listed in your contact phonebook. However, this also allows you to link your friends and all their profiles in your phonebook. When you are searching for a friend to call, you can see their latest update status, which I find very useful. This functionality took some getting used to as it can be A LOT to deal with all at once. Now, I look forward to it and count on it giving me the 411 on whomever whenever I want.

Reasons why I still miss my beloved Blackberry Storm: the flash on the camera and the video functionality. I have taken 1,000 of fantastic pictures with my Blackberry and hundreds of videos. Both the pictures and video just came out perfectly and rarely failed. I have even known people that would say my camera on my Blackberry was magic, in that when it took their picture they felt they just looked amazing. The camera was incredible.

I am going to break down and get a Flip for my video-ing needs and use my good old digital camera to take pictures when I am out going forward. I need a cable to hook up my digital camera to my computer. Then, dish out the $150 for the Flip and I suppose I am ready. Until then, I am left with the Cliq’s camera which is excellent if you are out in the sunlight. You people know I do my best work in the dark. Geez.

Overall, I think the Motorola Cliq is a fantastic phone for someone like me. I love Social Media. I want to be right there whenever whatever happens; chiming in my two cents. The options on this phone seem endless and can be a bit confusing. I come from a straight forward Blackberry background. This new girl seems to hold secrets I have yet unlocked. She’s a bit complicated, but who doesn’t like a little complication, right? I am enjoying her more and more everyday and long for the day she screams my name in delight. Until then, I will continue to stroke her menu options, make her MotoBlur buzz out of control and applify to my hearts content. Oh yes MotoBlur you had me at ‘Widgets’ now allow me to get you.
