I’m Every Woman
If subcultures have taught us anything it’s most of what is assumed intrinsic in our nature is the result of societal conditioning. There are certain subcultures which serve to interrupt these conventions of society. Gender identification is essential within our culture. Its importance is often unrecognized despite its major influence. We are required to identify as either a man or woman, because if not then how can we place you in our lives? When gender representation strays from its intended projection, people are both fascinated and disturbed
Ruben Nieto: Re-Contextualizing The Comic Book

It is like a paint by numbers when I give it to them. I want to get to the point where I don’t have to touch it. It is important to me that I am the one in charge. The image is mine
