Hi, I’m Rah-Shel the gal behind StealingKitty. I have been blogging on and off for the past 6 years. I am a single mother of one teen daughter who gives me moments of brilliance to fits of frustration all in the matter of a quick change in the dressing room. Being a parent is one of the best things I have done in my life. Look ya’ll I made her. We reside in the big city that is part of the biggest state, Texas. I was born in Montreal, Canada. My ethnicity is a mixed gaggle, Russian, Algonquin Indian (MicMac) and Dutch. Inside my head I am this white chick with a southern accent and find it odd when people comment on my “exotic” look. I have learned to accept the label and OWN it.
My journey over the past several years has been to create more authenticity in my life. Be authentic. Along the way, I have quieted my mind, been more present and found peace. When you are on a journey for truth, you are never quite prepared for what you find. This is my journey; the detours are plenty and my heart continues to open wide. Drink in life.
Professionally, I am Business Analyst working the 9 to 5 via my cubicle. This allows me to pay the bills and feed my inner geek. Personally, I am an intuitive with an edge. This skill was born out of survival and in my present life allows me to have a greater empathy for others. Everyone experiences trials in life that block him or her from being present. My life experiences not only blocked me, but blinded me from seeing what is more true. Several years ago, I began practicing a Gestalt approach along with intensive cognitive self talk. This practice altered the way my brain processes emotions and gave me a freedom I never realized possible. Today, I am continuing the journey of being more authentic in self and in life. I am present and fully participating daily in life’s rich pageant.
My goal is to develop the StealingKitty brand into a collaborative environment to share insights and opinions from diverse communities. I am seeker of truth and a drinker of knowledge.
Lesbian Community
Information for lesbians that provides you with the local happenings. Included will be culture and fashion that is relevant to our community. There is not enough lesbian based media that cater to city girls who aren’t afraid of the vagina and carry a big purse. This will be locally based in Dallas but will have a universal appeal
Art + Culture
Art and cultural events feed my soul. I share my thoughts about ‘art is magic’. A painting, painted by an artist, can make a dull room come alive. Art changes your mood. Artists leave pieces of themselves in their work, and it is alive. I am a contributing writer at Dallas Art News. Discovering the culture right outside your door allows your mind to expand beyond your living room.
Sex
I have been writing erotica since I was in grade school. I want to share my field research with the world. Myths will be broken and gasps will surely ensure. I love porn. Porn can improve a dull sex life. Porn gives. I celebrate my sexual liberation and value all the dirty and provocative feelings it summons. If I were to say there was a passion I possessed it would be sex. Never has the desire tasted so good.
